NEW DELHI: Govt has extended incentives for electric two-wheelers under the PM E-DRIVE scheme till March 31, 2028, while also working on a financing support mechanism to bring down borrowing costs for electric buses and trucks, as it looks to accelerate EV adoption across vehicle segments.

The government has prolonged the PM E-Drive subsidy for electric two-wheelers to FY28 and increased funding by ₹1,000 crore, boosting support for sustainable mobility solutions.

The government extends the PM E-Drive scheme for electric two-wheelers until FY28, increasing funding support to ₹2,767 crore.

The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has extended the PM E-Drive scheme to till FY28.
