Equity mutual fund investments slowed in July as concerns over valuations and subdued equity returns made investors more selective. Inflows into equity-oriented schemes fell 15 per cent from the previous month to Rs 24,697 crore, according to data released by industry body Amfi on Tuesday.

Among the 11 sub-categories, small-cap funds received the highest inflow at Rs 7,767 crore, marking the highest-ever inflow in the category.

On a year-on-year basis, SIP inflows increased 12% from Rs 28,464 crore in July 2025.

Equity mutual fund inflows dropped 15% to ₹24,697 crore in July, reflecting a moderation in investment pace.
