Over 12,000 devotees climbed the Sathuragiri hills on Monday (August 10, 2026) to offer worship at Sri Sundaramahalingam Temple atop the hill ahead of Aadi Amavasai festival. The devotees would be allowed to trek on the hilly terrain for four days since Monday for the festival. The devotees from far and near thronged the foothills of the Sathuragiri hills at Thaniparai since early morning.
