Assam flood toll reaches 100 with two more deaths; nearly 1.4 lakh people affected

Assam's flood situation remains critical as two more deaths occurred Sunday. Over 1.37 lakh people are currently affected across seven districts in the state. Golaghat district is the worst hit, with nearly 70,000 residents impacted by the deluge. Authorities are operating 125 relief camps for nearly 50,000 displaced individuals. Floodwaters have inundated 456 villages and damaged significant cropland and infrastructure.
