Algeria came from behind to beat Ivory Coast 2-1 in Casablanca on Saturday and reach for the first time the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) semi-finals and the World Cup.

The result confirmed Ivory Coast's return to the WAFCON knockout stage in impressive fashion after making their first appearance at the continental finals since 2014.

Ghana will take on tournament newcomers Malawi on Sunday for a place in the semi-finals at the 2026 women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after a 1-1 draw with Mali.
