Violence breaks out in South Wales as four arrested and three men hospitalised

Three men were taken to hospital as a result of the disorder, with two of them currently in a critical condition. Armed police and the National Police Air Service were deployed to support officers at the scene in Mill Road, Pontnewynydd. Gwent Police confirmed that two of the arrested men remain in police custody as investigations continue into the incident. Detective Chief Superintendent Anne-Marie Salwey condemned the violence and urged anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the Hospital Road and Mill Road area between 7 PM and 7:30 PM on Thursday to contact the police.
