Britain on Thursday announced new sanctions targeting Russian banks, “shadow fleet” vessels and importers of rare metals as part of ongoing efforts to squeeze Russia’s war economy.

The United Kingdom has imposed fresh sanctions on 13 individuals and entities, six vessels and several financial institutions accused of supporting Russia or its energy exports.
