Large crowd braves heat and long lines for Grand Gala tickets

Hundreds of people braved long lines and sweltering heat on Wednesday to collect their allotted two tickets for Thursday’s Grand Gala at the National Stadium in St Andrew. The annual Independence Day celebration began distributing free tickets at the Independence Village on Monday, with collection taking place daily from 3:00 p.m. The distribution ends today. Although the tickets are free, only a limited number are available.
