Max Miller’s bitter domestic dispute—in which he’s accused of physical abuse by his ex-wife, the daughter of Ohio’s senior senator—is testing the Republican Party’s willingness to defend the indefensible.

Miller, a former Trump staffer, is in a custody battle with his ex-wife Emily Moreno, Trump loyalist Sen. Bernie Moreno’s, R-Ohio, daughter.

Miller denied the allegations and said that he doesn't plan to end his bid, but he could reverse course by the state's withdrawal deadline.
