The Federal High Court sitting as a Vacation Court in Owerri, Imo State, has adjourned four fundamental rights enforcement suits to August 11, 2026. The suits seek multi-million-naira damages from the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector-General of Police, the Police Service Commission and officers of the Imo State Police Command's controversial Tiger Base Unit over allegations of illegal detention, torture, enforced disappearance and other grave human rights violations.
