The airline says it's going to start charging passengers for 'priority carry-on' so it can stop weighing every piece of luggage at the gate just before departure

The low-cost carrier says weighing passengers’ bags is slowing down the boarding process, contributing to delays.

The airline will also begin charging a fee for guaranteed access to overhead bins, but is increasing its in-cabin weight allowance.

Jetstar Australia will start charging passengers for the use of overhead luggage bins from February next year.
