The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted 12-10 to advance Todd Blanche's nomination for U.S. Attorney General, sending President Donald Trump's nominee to the full Senate for a final confirmation vote.

Senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis initially looked like they’d hold out against the nomination.

Blanche’s nomination as attorney general will move to a full Senate vote, despite critics who argue he didn’t sufficiently kill Trump’s $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund.
