Govt approves Rs 4,687 crore interest subsidy for ethanol projects

The government has approved ₹4,687 crore in interest subsidies for eligible ethanol projects. This support covers interest subvention for new distilleries and capacity expansions. Since 2022-23, ₹2,075 crore has been released to Nabard for fund disbursement. ONGC will develop half of a 1.75-mt strategic petroleum reserve. This reserve will be located at Mangaluru and earmarked for strategic use.
