Both Pochettino and US Soccer CEO JT Batson expressed their commitment to strengthening the national team programme, developing pathways for players, and aiming to make football the most played sport in the country, with ambitions to win future Men's World Cups. Pochettino, a 54-year-old former Argentina international, has a distinguished coaching career, having previously managed clubs such as Southampton, Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea before joining the USMNT.
