RIYADH: Jordan’s Samra Electric Power Generation Co. has signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract with SITE Technology General Contracting to develop a 25-megawatt wind power project in Ma’an Governorate, fully funded by the UAE government. The contract, which covers the design, supply and installation of five wind turbines at Batn Al Ghul, falls under a cooperation agreement signed in February between Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Co., known as Masdar, the state news agency Petra reported.
