New Reserve Bank of India rules will change bank deposit interest rate disclosures starting October 2026. Banks will gain flexibility in setting interest rates for bulk deposits of three crore rupees and above. These institutions must now publish bulk deposit rates on their websites daily by ten AM.

The Reserve Bank of India now permits banks to offer varying interest rates on bulk deposits, aligning with liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) run-off rates for enhanced flexibility.
