A California woman and her beloved Miniature Pinscher have become an inspiration after overcoming one of life's toughest challenges and returning to do what they love most together. Sophia Sadlowski, from Huntington Beach, California, and her dog Rusty, both survived cancer before competing side by side at the 2026 World Dog Surfing Championships held at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica, California.
