Around 158 CBI cases related to examination irregularities awaiting trial in courts

Over 150 recruitment exam irregularity cases await trial, some registered over two decades ago. The CBI will approach high courts to transfer these pending cases to new fast-track courts. Dedicated special prosecutors will be provided to expedite these concluded investigations. Prolonged delays severely erode prosecution prospects as witnesses become unavailable and memories fade. The new law mandates fast-track courts to hear cases daily and conclude them within three months.
