Gov. Bob Ferguson (D-WA) declared a state of emergency on Saturday as “unusually high temperatures and high winds” exacerbated record-setting wildfires.

A fast-moving wildfire in Spokane County, Washington, has forced residents to evacuate their homes as crews worked to quell the blaze Saturday.

There are at least three fires in and around the city. Large parts of Spokane are under Level 3 evacuation orders, which read: "Leave NOW! This may be your only notice."
