Russia fired a record number of missiles at Ukraine in July, an AFP analysis of Ukrainian air force data published Saturday showed, as Kyiv renewed its call for anti-ballistic defenses.

With air defense systems in constant short supply, three out of every four Russian ballistic missiles are penetrating Ukraine’s defenses.

Russian forces launched 35 missiles of various types and 185 drones against Ukraine on the night of 31 July-1 August, with Kyiv Oblast being the main target.
