Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have thwarted an abduction attempt by Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) insurgents, rescuing 31 civilians along the strategic Buratai–Kamuya Road in the Biu Local Government Area of Borno State. The successful joint operation unfolded at approximately 3:45pm when high-tech, real-time surveillance systems operated by the 135 Special Forces Battalion stationed at Dutsen Kura detected insurgents intercepting four civilian vehicles.
