The Laval, Que.-based owner of Couche-Tard and Circle K stores announced Friday that it made an offer valued at more than $12 billion to buy Polish convenience store operator Zabka Group. The play comes after Alimentation Couche-Tard tried, but failed, to buy the parent company of 7-Eleven for more than a year.
