The drugs were allegedly found in his luggage after he flew a plane from Kuala Lumpur, with officials saying he was under the influence of meth, MDMA, and cocaine during the flight. Officials said the pilot, whose flight number suggested he worked for Malaysia Airlines, is believed to have smuggled the MDMA for a reward worth around 50,000 ringgit (£9,092). He has been named a criminal suspect and faces severe penalties, including the death penalty or life imprisonment, under Indonesia's strict drug laws. Malaysia Airlines said it does not tolerate misconduct and is conducting an internal review while cooperating with Indonesian authorities.
