Death toll from Japan's Kumamoto Earthquake rises to 35

The death toll from a strong earthquake that struck southwestern Japan climbed to 13 on Wednesday morning, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said.

At least 13 people died in the 6.8 earthquake that rattled southern Japan Tuesday as search and rescue efforts are currently ongoing across Kumamoto Prefecture.
