‘One exam cannot be a referendum on a young person’s life’: Shashi Tharoor

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor called for India to move away from its “single, high-stakes, high-stress” examination model. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, he argued that one illness, accident or traffic jam should not cost a student an entire year. Tharoor demanded more quality institutions, seats and pathways to professional education.
