Judge blasts Amy Winehouse’s father for ‘unfounded allegations’ against friends

He had sued Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they dishonestly profited over £1 million from selling items such as clothes and jewellery. The judge, Ms Justice Clarke, ruled that Mr Winehouse had known about the intended auctions all along and pursued the claim for financial reasons. Mr Winehouse has been ordered to pay nearly £1 million in interim payments to Ms Parry and Ms Gourlay for their legal costs, in addition to his own substantial legal fees. The judge criticised Mr Winehouse for bringing an “inherently weak claim” and making “serious and unfounded allegations” against the two women.
