Union Minister Piyush Goyal condemned Rahul Gandhi's remarks regarding student protests. Goyal stated that no police firing occurred during the student demonstrations. He dismissed Gandhi's allegations as fictitious and a bundle of lies. The minister demanded Gandhi's remarks be expunged and an apology issued. Gandhi had earlier attacked Home Minister Amit Shah during a Lok Sabha debate.
