The Save Public Education Campaign (SPEC) has condemned the alleged extrajudicial killing of Mr. Ibrahim Ibee Mbaya, a student of the University of Jos, Plateau State, describing the incident as a gross violation of the sanctity of human life and calling for justice. In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its Northern Nigeria Coordinator, Comrade Iortyom Ushahemba Moses, the group alleged that Mbaya was lynched by a mob believed to comprise his colleagues and fellow students over allegations that he stole a mobile phone.
