She received 105 cards from across the globe, following an appeal by the care home, with some travelling from as far as Singapore. Ms Smith holds the rare distinction of receiving a card from King Charles, having previously received one from the late Queen Elizabeth. When asked for her secret to a long and happy life, she said: “I enjoy it – keep on going.”Born in Korea, Ms Smith recently reunited with a special Korean outfit she wore as a young girl almost 100 years ago during a private tour of the National Museum of Scotland.
