Up to four daily trains, which currently operate between London and Amsterdam, will incorporate this new direct connection. The direct route will only be available for the outward journey from London. According to Eurostar, there are no current plans to introduce a direct return service as “this would require dedicated UK border and customs facilities at Antwerp-Centraal”. Passengers travelling can book a combined SNCB and Eurostar ticket, connecting via Brussels-Midi for border and security checks.
