Moment Donald Trump interrupted by heckler who calls him a ‘paedophile protector’

Donald Trump was branded a “paedophile protector” by a heckler during a speech in Michigan on Monday (27 July). The US president was halfway through his address on his economic record ahead of November’s midterm elections when he was interrupted by shouts coming from the crowd. “Pedophile protector! Pedophile protector,” the protester yelled, seemingly a reference to Mr Trump’s former associate Jeffrey Epstein. Mr Trump, who has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing in connection with the disgraced financier, has insisted he cut ties with the paedophile years before he came under investigation. The US president branded the protester a “communist”, before his supporters launched into a chant of “USA”. The heckler was removed from the venue.
