On December 2, his Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo was clocked at 68mph in a 50mph zone, and on December 22, his Bentley Continental GT was recorded at 82mph in a 70mph zone. West Mercia Police initially struggled to locate Hammond, sending speeding tickets to multiple properties which were returned as 'addressee gone away', before eventually tracking him to his mansion in Wales. Hammond pleaded guilty through his lawyers to the two speeding charges at Telford Magistrates’ Court last week, resulting in seven penalty points being added to his licence. He was ordered to pay a total of £1,771, comprising two fines of £333 and £666, £240 in costs and £532 in victim surcharges.
