No time bound promotion under MACP for these central government employees; govt clarifies in Rajya Sabha - The Economic Times

Central government employees retired between 2006 and 2008 will not receive MACP benefits. The Modified Assured Career Progression scheme began on September 1, 2008. This means the scheme was not active during their service period. Employee bodies are now demanding more MACP promotions for Group C and B staff. They seek five financial upgradations instead of the current three.
