Western Siberia’s Tyumen region is bracing for potential catastrophic flooding this week after the Tura River, which runs through its capital city, surged to dangerous levels on Monday. “The main waterway of Tyumen is behaving very unusually this year… There’s a lot of water, the entire floodplain is submerged,” Governor Alexander Moor wrote in a Telegram post on Sunday.
