Night-long battle as fire razes Kerala coconut oil mill

A major coconut oil mill in Kozhikode was completely destroyed by a massive fire. Firefighters battled the blaze for over eight hours to bring it under control. Preliminary findings suggest the fire originated in the copra storage area near the dryers. The mill owners estimated the total loss of property to be over seven crore rupees. Cooling operations continued on Monday to prevent any reignition of the fire.
