Kolkata Police have registered a case against Bengali actor Sreelekha Mitra over allegations that she displayed offensive, defamatory and derogatory caricatures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public rally in the city on July 24. The case was filed at Anandapur Police Station following a complaint by Keya Ghosh, and police said an investigation has been initiated under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The complaints relate to a photograph taken during the July 24 demonstration in the Esplanade area, where protesters had gathered. | India News
