JEDDAH: As the Kingdom’s first museum dedicated entirely to Islamic art, the House of Islamic Arts in Jeddah houses more than 1,000 rare artifacts spanning 15 centuries. The collection showcases craftsmanship and innovation from across the Islamic world, from China and India to the Maghreb and Andalusia, the Saudi Press Agency reported. A highlight is the Arabic calligraphy section, featuring rare Qur’anic manuscripts that show how writing evolved into a spiritual art form.
