Television presenter Laura Hamilton has issued an urgent warning of the dangers of swimming in the sea after she watched a teenager die after getting into trouble in the water. The A Place In The Sun presenter shared a video about the dangers of swimming, after she witnessed the tragedy unfold on Thursday (23 July). The 44-year-old explained that after she had finished filming the show for the day, she headed to a nearby beach, but soon realised something badly wrong had happened when she arrived. She later learned a 19-year-old boy had died. Hamilton, a mother-of-two said: “If you're letting your children go into the sea, even as a grown up going into the sea, just be careful.”
