Onida looks to monetise realty assets for revival

Onida Electronics is monetising its real estate portfolio to raise crucial funds. The company plans to revive its iconic television brand and compete effectively. Three land parcels, including its Mumbai headquarters, are being evaluated for sale. Operations at the Wada manufacturing facility have been discontinued and exited. Television production will now be outsourced to contract manufacturers.
