More than 100 firefighters, supported by specialist wildfire appliances, all-terrain vehicles, and partner agencies, have been mobilised to the incident, with ongoing helicopter water-bombing operations assisting efforts. Deputy Assistant Chief Officer Michael Humphreys described the situation as "dynamic and unpredictable," noting that changing wind conditions frequently cause flare-ups and alter the direction of smoke, despite progress being made.
