Man discovers 2,700-year-old ancient sword: A hobbyist using a metal detector in a forest near Gdansk, Poland, has found a bronze sword estimated to be around 2,700 years old, dating to between 900 and 700 BC. The well-preserved blade was found standing upright in the ground and has since been handed to archaeologists for study.
