The former chief executive of Southern Water has been charged over an alleged plot to manipulate water quality tests to avoid paying financial penalties of at least 45 million pounds.

Matthew Wright has been charged alongside three others with conspiracy to defraud over allegations they were involved in a plan to manipulate water quality tests.
