RIYADH: Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh has successfully performed its first kidney transplant, marking the launch of its organ transplant program, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday. The operation was carried out on a 32-year-old patient with kidney failure, who received a kidney donated by his 35-year-old sister after comprehensive medical tests confirmed the pair were compatible. The procedure was performed by a multidisciplinary medical and surgical team, with both the donor and recipient reported to be in stable condition and receiving follow-up care, according to SPA.
