Anantnag attack: J&K Police Head Constable killed, search operation launched

A J&K Police Head Constable, Ashiq Hussain Qureshi killed in a terrorist attack in Anantnag town. Qureshi, from the 3rd Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP), was reportedly on patrol duty when bike-borne terrorists opened fire. Security forces have launched a massive cordon-and-search operation to track down the attackers, while entry and exit points of Anantnag town have been sealed. J&K LG Manoj Sinha condemned the attack and said those responsible would be brought to justice.
