Two Spanish football stars have been rewarded with their bodyweight in tomatoes following their World Cup 2026 win. On Sunday (19 July), Spain clinched a 1-0 win against reigning champions Argentina following Ferran Torres' extra-time strike. Fabian Ruiz and Pablo Páez Gavira “Gavi”, both from Los Palacios y Villafranca, were welcomed home by a grand ceremony. The city, located in the Andalucia region of Spain, has also renamed the current Marismas and San Sebastian stadiums after the two winning World Cup players.
