Cop killed in terrorist attack in J-K's Anantnag

A policeman was killed during a terrorist attack in Anantnag town on Wednesday. Head Constable Ashiq Hussain, on Amarnath yatra security duty, was injured and later declared dead. Security forces have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation for the assailants. The Resistance Front, an outfit of Lashkar-e-Toiba, claimed responsibility for the incident. This attack occurred around 12:30 pm at Lal Chowk in Anantnag.
