German quantum computing startup SAXON Q has announced the commercial release of the SXQ128 (128 qubits) and the SXQ512 (512 qubits), marking the first diamond-based nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center quantum processors to exceed ten physical qubits. Spun out of Leipzig University, the company’s systems operate entirely at room temperature without requiring cryogenic refrigeration, vacuum infrastructure, or specialized cleanroom facilities.
