India's renewable energy installed capacity reaches 288.58 GW from 76.38 GW in 2014: Shripad Naik

Renewable energy capacity grew significantly from 2014 to 2026. Solar and wind power form the largest portions of this installed capacity. Foreign direct investment totaling USD 45.72 billion flowed into the sector. Domestic financial institutions also deployed substantial funds towards renewable energy projects. Non-fossil fuel sources now contribute significantly to the nation's electricity generation.
