A U.S. Army veteran was arrested in New York City following what authorities have called an anti-government attack targeting a federal building.

The FBI said Andrew Arrabaca “came armed with bad intentions” and is “an anti-American, anti-government extremist.”

A man was taken into custody on Monday morning after allegedly setting off fireworks outside of a federal building in Lower Manhattan, causing a fire.

The individual is reportedly a 43-year-old anti-ICE activist.

Andrew Arrabaca, 43, was identified as the suspect in the 26 Federal Plaza incendiary attack. The FBI is probing the incident as a possible act of terrorism.
