'Mr Sandman': My journey with chronic insomnia

I remember a story from my young days as we were settling down to sleep called Mr Sandman. The innocent version of this story is that Mr Sandman is believed to sprinkle magic sand or dust into the eyes of children at night to bring on sleep and nice dreams.
